Jane Monheit. She's an American Jazz singer. She had a duet with Michael Buble titled "I Won't Dance", which is originally sung by Frank Sinatra. I personally like this song very much. The song is taken from her album, Taking A Chance On Love. Go to http://www.youtube.com and type Jane Monheit and Michael Buble to watch the video.

Oh my god you MUST listen to the Ray Brown Trio... there are several groups of his. my favorite is with Ray Brown on bass, Gene Harris on piano, and Jeff Hamilton on drums. Also make sure to listen to the Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown on bass.

Kenny G, Dave Koz, Keiko Matsui, David Sanborn, David Benoit, Sade...there are many to name. Good Luck!

There are so many different types of Jazz.
Easy listening
Diana Krall
Kenny G
Miles Davis
Big Band Jazz;
Michael Buble ( my personal fav)
Harry Connick Jr.

Then there's the classics,
Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Sinatra
The list goes on....

The list would be too long.
May I suggest that you get the Downbeat Jazz Magazine, that is where I really learned about jazz back in 1959.

You have gotten lots of great suggestions. I too have recently developed a love of jazz. I would like to suggest a great web site, that has turned me on to some truly excellent jazz. Try exploring All About Jazz.com, They cover all aspects of jazz and have several disscusion groups. Enjoy!
