I'm trying to find some classic Japanese Jazz music. I know that jazz has a big history in Japan, but it's really hard to track down actual artists and song titles.
Pretty much, I'm looking for the Japanese Ella Fitzgerald or Billie Holiday.
Thanks! You MUST listen to Hiromi Uehara. She's AMAZING!! I wouldn't exactly call it "Japanese" jazz, because that's not exactly a genre, but she's a more modern piano player who happens to be Japanese. Sorry, can't help you with singers. google it If you know any japanese jazz artists, put them in on Google, and some other ones will come up.
If not, put in japanese jazz music on google or yahoo!... Good luck. |
