i need some help on a trumpet solo. the song is "evil ways" by santana, and i don't know how it goes! do you have a recording of it or something i could listen to?

this is an arrangement for marching band, it is pretty true to the song. The best bet would be to "pick up" or, better yet, download an .mp of the tune. It was Carlos Santana's 1st. or 2nd. commercial hit back in the late 60's.
As a former trumpet player - I can assure you that it will be very easy to transcribe and play.
As I recall, it was done in Gm - rather repetitious - chords Gm ->C....over and over.......a D7, and so on. there is a part that goes into double time (latin feel) over which Carlos played his guitar solo. |
