Whats a good jazz audition song for a bass voice? |
im in my schools underclassman jazz choir and auditions are coming up for the "next level" the more serious upperclassman choir that gets paid for gigs and stuff. there are only two bass spots open sooo what should i sing?? -16years old I think you should try Stardust. Check out Harry Connick, Jr.'s rendition on his CD "25." I saw Willard White do a hell of job on Mood Indigo in a rehearsal last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aO45IxvY... Look at old man river perhaps. Get ur teacher to give you a few things to make it your own song and not just another singer singing the same old song night and day by cole porter. it's perfect. Ol' Man River... This song has become a standard repertoire for Bass Voice.. |
