Jazz saxophone version of God Rest ye Merry Gentleman?

When my alarm clock went off this morning I heard a really great rendition of God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, but I didn't catch who it was performed by. If any of you out there have any input as to who this may have been, please share. Thank you in advance!!

For clarification, it is full band jazz saxophone, including drums and all the other common instruments associated. And it is not Kenny G or Mannheim Steamroller.

Manfred Mann (group #2 on Fontana Records) had a very nice jazzy version like what you mention.
It's in "Instrumental Asylum" Japan LP-CD.
Also on Mannerisms compilation UK.

Paquito D'Rivera does a rendition on a jazz collection titled, "God Rest Ye Merry Jazzmen". It was released about 1990. I've heard other sax players do a version, including Kenny G. I've also heard a rendition by the group "Fourplay".

Good luck

Dang... I was just about to mention the Paquito D'Rivera version. Anyway that is on the Columbia Cd Jingle Bell Jazz which is my favorite Jazz Christmas Cd because it has so much variety and artists seldom heard from such as saxophonist Pony Poindexter doing a great version of Rudolph,The Red-Nosed Reindeer and the greatest solo piano rendition of I'll Be Home For Christmas by McCoy Tyner which it alone is worth getting the CD.

The CD or LP is call God Rest Ye Merry Jazzmen
the song God rest ye merry gentlemen
Written by Paquito D' Rivera
Paquito - Alto Sax
John Miller - acoustic bass
CBS 1981 real nice check it out
