How can I find WWII female Singers (jazz, cabaret)?

I have spent a majority of the day looking and I have not had any luck, can you help me, with a few names or a web site where I can find some names? much appreciated

Ella Fitzgerald
Della Reese
The Andrews Sisters
Kay Starr
Rosemary Clooney
Dinah Shore
Judy Garland
The King Sisters
Dinah Washington
Helen Forrest
Sarah Vaughan
Anita O'Day
Mildred Bailey
Kitty Kallen

I suppose the obvious would have to be Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton, etc.from Britain but there are lots of others especially those from America - many of whom were/still are popular such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Teresa Brewer and a personal favourite if mine - Keely Smith who often sang with her husband New Orleans band leader Louis Prima - check her out on YouTube!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Edith Piaf (French) or Marlene Dietrich (German, but became an American citizen before the war), two iconic European singers of the era.
