Did roger whitaker ever sing/record margaritaville?

i thought he sang it on a time life record back in the late1970's
or early 1980's

don't know if he remade it or created t even just know that jimmy buffet sang it i think i was the name of the album

no,don麓t think so-but jimmy buffet did

I hope not. And Roger Whitaker was a crooner, not a jazz singer.

I doubt it... Jimmy Buffett wrote BOTH the words and the lyrics and it has become his theme song. I checked the sheet music and it lists Jimmy as both writer and composer.
