Is there any other artists who sing something similar, they possibly can't have a voice comparable to Ella, but something as soultry and inviting as her music maybe? I'm a native French speaker so no I really don't mind, I like Edith Piaf too...All the French girls are crazy about La vie en rose ;) Billie Holiday, Anita O'Day, Dinah Washington, Rosemary Clooney, Lena Horne, Nancy Wilson, Diana Krall, Blossom Dearie, Karrin Allyson, Susannah McCorkle i like billie holiday a lot! i also like nina simone, and if you don't mind it mostly in french, edith piaf has a hauntingly beautiful voice! |
