I need a unique song please?

I need a song that has not been heard 100 times for a lyrical jazz preformance. I would like something slow but with a good beat. It needs to be appropriate for a recital with parents, grandparents, ect. Thank you all!

my favorite ballad "but beautiful"
written by
Jimmy Van Heusen
there's been a lot of recordings by different jazz singers

"Peace" written by Horace Silver isn't over done but I see it's been recorded by Norah Jones so that might change soon :)

kenny g's songbird

"Don't Advertise Your Man"

More of a blues, buta fun slow piece - real old timey, but not done to death.

chuck berry- my ding a ling

My Funny Valentine

I would suggest Take Five by Dave Brubeck or maybe a flute piece by Roland Kirk.

Duke Ellington & Duke Ellington and His Famous OrchestraDuke Ellington & Duke Ellington and His Famous Orchestra

the song is take an A train

Do:

Moon River. Or Someday My Prince Will Come. Those are both in 3 and are great songs. If by "good beat" you mean some sort of backbeat, then these also work as songs in a bluesy 6/8.

Long time ago Red Foley sang a song called LAY Down Sally. It was a very good song.
This was under the country western charts.

Another song could be one from Mel Tilis (spelling)
Called Good Woman Blues.

hoagy carmichael - star dust

Bobby Caldwell - "Where is Love"
