Of course the chicken. If the egg was first, there would be no hen to warm it up untill it hatched and no rooster to make more , and a baby chick without a mom would have been eaten up by the wild animals quickly.

Well, on the more scientific and perverse side of things, the chicken (or rooster) had to "come" first in order for the egg to be fertalized and make a chicken. If there is no chicken, there is nothing to create the egg, really, when you come down to it. I just roasted a turkey for dinner and it was tastey. I know that has nothing to do with chickens and eggs, but i boiled the giblets and fed them to my leopard. Well, he's a Bengal Cat, has leopard spots. Sometimes, when our Double Yellow head Parrot is being too noisy (happens a lot actually) we tell her she'd look great in a pot between carrots and potatoes. She says "oh" and shuts up. It's funny when she meows at the cats. I'm trying to teach her to cluck like a chicken. it's not working.

Well, you know it's the egg because that's what I ate for breakfast. And, since chicken is for lunch or dinner (both which come after breakfast), then it had to come after the egg.

The egg, (sorry not humorous) because the creature that laid the egg would be nearly a chicken but not quite and a genetic response to the changing surroundings would have produced the chicken-basic evolution.
