Thats how I got a "A" in archery in college...?

A Duke was hunting in the forest with his men-at-arms and servants when he came across a tree. Upon it, archery targets were painted and right in the middle of each was an arrow. 鈥淲ho is this incredibly fine archer?鈥?cried the duke. 鈥淚 must find him!鈥?br> After continuing through the forest for a few miles he came across a small boy carrying a bow and arrow. Eventually the boy admitted that it was he who shot the arrows plumb in the center of all the targets.
鈥淵ou didn鈥檛 just walk up to the targets and hammer the arrows into the middle, did you?鈥?asked the duke worriedly. 鈥淣o my lord. I shot them from a hundred paces. I swear it by all that I hold holy.鈥?br> 鈥淭hat is truly astonishing,鈥?said the duke. 鈥淚 hereby admit you into my service.鈥?The boy thanked him profusely. 鈥淏ut I must ask one favor in return,鈥?the duke continued. 鈥淵ou must tell me how you came to be such an outstanding shot.鈥?br> 鈥淲ell,鈥?said the boy, 鈥渇irst I fire the arrow at the tree鈥?and then I paint the target around it.鈥?/div>
