Riddle help? (for anyone who loves history or is really smart)?

So I am trying to figure out this riddle that my teacher gave me (it wasnt a homework or anything just for fun): "When the orioles or the ravens play, the key lies in where. If the former is white and the latter in color, then they are described by this term" here are two hints he gave me 1. they play near here where the legacy of ross remained and 2. the crown od people asked a mexican boy if he had good vision. So I already figured out that the riddle refers to Francis Scott Key writing the "star spangled banner" ("jose" can you see) in Baltimore at fort Mc Henry. When I told that to my teacher he said that he is looking for a TERM. So if anyone can help that would be great. Thank you!

I think your term is "home of the brave"
the reasoning behind this is what you already mentioned plus what you missed...when the ravens play "home" games they where "colored" jerseys but unlike most sports teams the Orioles wear "white" jerseys at their home events. hope this helps!

well orioles are baltimores baseball team and ravens are baltimores football team and they sing the star spangled banner at the beginning of the game on the field???
