I think songs written by Paul are very direct and simple, but John's songs are more like... how should I say... philosophical...
What do you think? Yes I definitely agree. And sometimes Paul had that horrible habit of making really sappy love songs too, something John never did. John gave the beatles edge, he wrote intelligent lyrics that made you think. Pauls lyrics are usually about love, I think John brought out more of the edge in him but the meanings of his songs are usually pretty direct. Absolutely. But then John saw the world differently than Paul. He had to through that smoky drug haze. paul had some smoky drug haze too. |
