Could you explain this: "sombody told me you had a boyfriend who looks like this girlfriend that I had in.....

..February of last year"?

O__O

I've never been able to understand those lyrics...

THANKS A LOT!!

I think this song is about the singer's friend having a boyfriend, and he wants to be her boyfriend, so he is dissing her boyfriend.

(that may be a little confusing, read it a few times lmfao)

The Killers. Ehh, gibberish lyrics. Try to listen to something better.

It's basically saying to a girl that her old boyfriend looked like a girl(friend that I had in February of last year). It's a roundabout way of dissing the girl's ex-boyfriend by saying that he looked like a girl.

The girl has a female looking boyfriend that resembles a girlfriend that he had in high school.

My suggestion to this Killers' song meaning: The lead singer is probably singing about an ex dressing/looking like a boy (or the other way around).

maybe it's alluding to them both "accidentally" dating the same person, maybe like an off and on transvestyyy?? Ive never really understood it either.

It's just some guy interested in a girl, and he found out from someone that her ex-boyfriend looked like his ex-girlfriend.

What are you looking for?

I personally find this one a bit more perplexing:

"Girls who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like theyre girls
Who do girls like theyre boys
Always should be someone you really love"

(Blur)

It makes The Killers look oh so simple.

But the best lyricist ever I think is Morrissey.
