What does these Italian lyrics mean?

This paragraph of lyrics is found in Hongkong singer Karen Mok's song, titled "Top Fans."

un bel di, vedremo
levarsi un fil di fumo sull'estremo
confin del mare.

It looks Italian to me but what does the lyrics mean?

i'm italian and i can't speak american very well, but i try to translate it:
"a beautiful day, we will see a smoke thread take off on the confin extreme of the sea. and then the ship appears".
