Do singers make up the lyrics for their music or do they pay somebody else to do it? |
I really need to know. Most Radio artists have their songs (lyrics and musical arrangement) written for them. Even John Mayer, despite what was said above, actually doesn't write almost 60% of his own music (he admitted this), he just "buys" his lyrics from better writers than do artists like Spears, Lopez, etc (he bought a couple songs from eric clapton). Some singers write their own music and lyrics and some don't. It happens in all genres of music, not any one in particular. There are always songs floating around for someone to choose, but many artists, like say John Mayer for instance writes his own lyrics and music mostly. Alot of 'studio artists' like Backstreet Boys and so forth usually pick songs that have already been written by someone else....not always, but most of the time. people who write lyrics for other people are called ghostwiters. T.I. is one of them so is chamillioniare P. diddy never wrote any song they were all written by somebody else both 90 percent they use ghost writters people who write for them Depends.... Some do, some don't,, and Some do both (write their own and pay a song writer). Some may write their own. Others may have theirs written by a proffessional song writer. Then there are those who both write their own songs and have other songs written by others. Yes some write there on lyrics other have song writers or co song writers help with the lyrics There are people that just writing music for others to sing and some singers write their own music.. And some do both. Prince, Baby Face and Carol King all wrote music for other people as well as for themselves. |
