Who takes Blender Magazine seriously?

Amidst all their advertising for how The Gap is going to heal AIDS in Africa, they decided to give a list of the 40 worst lyricists of all time...

#1 Worst - Sting
#4 - Noel Gallagher (of Oasis)
#13 - Peter Gabriel
#21 - Alanis Morissette (should be #2)
#30 - Kevin "K-Fed" Federline
#31 - Carly Simon

What does this magazine think they are???
To say that K-Fed and Carly Simon are about the same???

I read that article. I disagree with who is on it, I disagree with the rankings and I am upset that a lot of other people are not on there.

Personally, I enjoy how Sting makes full use of the english language.

You can question why Jim Morrison, Bryan Adams or John Bon Jovi are on there (I see Sir Paul and Bernie Taupin got poked as well).

My opinion of a terrible lyricist is one with inconsistancies. Good songs and bad songs come out with equal ease

Blender also called 'Pet Sounds' and Dylan's recent work overrated. They'll say anything to get a reaction. The worst part is it's so obviously written by a bunch of 30-something scenesters who have no knowledge of musical heritage, and are old enough to know better.

This is a magazine that has twice has Avril Lavigne on its cover, and now it thinks it's opinions on lyrics count for something.

Damn, I hate that crappy magazine.
