How can I convince my parents to let me subscribe to teen magazines?

I'm already subscribed to GL, but it seems like its made for too young of an age group. When I asked the 'rents if I could subscribe to Seventeen and CosmoGirl! they gave me a flat-out no. The thing is that when we go to a grocery or book store they let me buy Seventeen and CosmoGirl! I really want the mags (and the 2 would only cost $15 from my school's Magazine Sale, so money is no problem.) How do I convince them???

First try to find out why they don't want to subscribing to them,
once you figure that out , try to voice your opinoin on the subject.
Let them know how the magazine is somewhat educationing,and how you grew out of reading GL.
Make sure they KNOW you're willing to pay for the subscription,and try to be as mature as possible when speaking to them

Try writing down all the reasons that you want to get the magazines. This will tell your parents that you really want the magazines. I tried it with my parents, and it had a positive effect. Hope it helps, Good luck!

My parents were like that too...
I was in band so I told them that if I bought it would raise money for band. I also told them that if they didn't like me reading them, then I wouldn't buy it the year afterwards.
They finally agreed, even though I wasn't allowed to subscribe the next year =D
You can also just try to find out what they have against you subscribing to the magazine. Just act mature and responsible in front of them.
