I am looking for a comprehensive list of hard core punk bands from the late 70's early 80's for a project. |
Okay hard core fans, here is your chance to show what you know. I am looking for a comprensive list of hard core punk bands for a Christmas present for my brother. Looking to put together a huge set of hard core into one collection. I have a lot of music already...Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Suicidal Tendencies(early years), DRI, Minor Threat, Cro Mags, Agnostic Front....I want more. I know there are a bunch I am missing, probably from my own collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would like to know group names and if they have any releases available. What I want to do is put together CDs based on area of the country...Bad Brains and Minor Threat for DC, Dead Kennedys for Bay Area, ect. I am more than willing to do the research, just need some help with where to start. Please do not suggest the lame groups of today like Green Day or Blink 182...they are pop rock at best.
