I have a lot of magazines that I want to give away or recycle. Some have not even been opened.Any suggestions

I am convinced now that I will never read these magazines, and I hate to just throw them away. Maybe I can donate them to a facility or project. I just don't know where to start.

I love going into half priced books and buying the magazines ($1 each when I buy them). Also, the local Jail might take them, as the inmates rarely have reading material (that would be a good deed). Just call the jail tell them you have magazines, and ask them if its okay if you bring them down for the inmates and who you should ask for when you arrive.

Please send them to my Dermatologist. Last visit I sat down and opened a National Geographic and it was from 1992. Would you like his address?

I take my old magazines to offices where I have to sit and wait to be called for my appointment...doctor, dentist, auto, etc. Then I leave them on the table or magazine rack for other people to read and enjoy. They definitely get recycled that way! I always let the receptionist know of my "donation" and that way if I'm in the middle of a magazine that I picked up off of their collection, I don't feel bad asking if I can take it with me to finish at home in my spare time. I've never been told no! =)

Any nursing home, hospital would be more than happy to accept your magazines. They are always looking for reading materials. It would benefit the residents greatly. Also assisted living facilities too. I bring mine to those places all the time and volunteer there as well. It makes the people there happy and you can see it with the smiles on their faces. I'm tahnking you for them.

You can give them to a charity shop and they can sell them.
