I want to work for a magazine?

yup, you'd need to major in journalism.
It's very competitive to get any kind of job for a magazine.
While studying journalism in college you'd need to try and get an internship and as journalist/writer for a magazine or you could even do it for websites for starters but most aspiring writers usually start small and gradually grow. I recommend you learn about the different types of journalism & try writing for your school newspaper and read more magazine articles to get an idea of what you're interested in.
