What was the first ever I T V advert, time and date? |
I know the answer to this just wonder who else does I have clue if i get no answers To answer your question the first ever ITV advert was for Gibbs SR toothpaste which was shown at 20-12 on the 22cnd September 1955.Incidentally the SR means Sodium Ricinoleate. sr or colgate toothpaste , do not know the date toothpaste not sure when though Gibbs SR toothpaste It was for Gibbs SR Toothpaste as it was rumoured that the nation was not looking after their teeth,unfortunately most of the nation could not afford a TV either so the advert broadcast on the 22nd September 1955 was a flop!! It was for Gibbs SR toothpaste (its tingling fresh) and I think it was 1956. |
