Rolling Stone: what came first band or magazine? Neither. The song "Like A Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan came first. band, but the song came before both. I think it was the band. If I recall correctly the band has been together since the 60's. And I'm not totally sure when the hell the mag came out. The Band..which was around pre1963//////The Mag didnt esist until 1967. The Dylans song was from 65 The band came before the magazine.
