What ever happen to the guitar Jimi Hendrix Burned at the Monterrey Pop festival?

It was burned at the Monterrey Pop festival.

i wish i knew, i'd put it on e bay and make me some big $$$.

The ashes were swept up and put in the garbage.

He smashed it after setting it on fire than threw it out to the audience, (I think).

A portion of the Fender Stratocaster now resides at the Experience Music Project located in Seattle, WA. While it is no longer on display, you can still see a picture of it at the following link:

There are not details of how the guitar was obtained, but much of the EMP collection was built through the private auction purchases of its founder, Paul Allen.
