I was wondering, what are some skills to be a fashion editor?

Skills: Well, for one you have to love fashion. Know who's who (designers).

Ideas: Have great and fresh and original ideas. Something new to bring to the table in order for you to stand out.

Knowledge: Some will only hire you if you have a degree in English, Journalism or even a Fashion degree. Some will just go with who you know or just your talent.

But, it's really who you know (connections).
Remember you can become a Freelance Fashion Editor also. Get your name out there. Then try to work for a known Fashion Magazine. You'll just have to find your own projects etc.
