In the film The Vikings with Kirk Douglas did anyone notice the ship had an engine.?

You can see by the wake,Anyone notice any other bloopers in this film(Still a good movie though),Merry Christmas to all.

Thats my kinda film buddy lol

Factual error: The Vikings raided England in the 9th and 10th centuries. The first castles were not built until post 1066. The castle in the film has rounded towers, crenellations and machicolations, which would date it at approximately 1300. That would tend to suggest that these Vikings were 400 or 500 years old, or that they had access to a time machine.

Continuity: When Kirk Douglas smashes through the chapel window near the end of the film, you can clearly see that the window isn't stained glass - it's colored paper. Or perhaps papier-mache of some sort.

Tony Curtis's character has his hand cut off in the film, and still his arm hasn't lost any of its original length.

When Morgana's ship is being boarded, one of the Vikings features an arrow stuck in his body even as he boards. It is first (but not quite) kept out of sight by his shield, but when he enters the ship, he turns the shield away, and the arrow is suddenly visible. Somewhat hard to see by casual watching, so look carefully.

When Kirk Douglas returns in the viking ship to his home fjord, many vehicles can be seen on the road through the trees on the other side of the water. Vauxhall Vikings perhaps?

Well them talking English for a start.

Yes, funny isn't it how Vikings speak English with an American accent?

In several "period" sea-related films I've seen, if you look closely you can see a cabin cruiser or tanker or something going past on the horizon. In one TV series about an 18th Century shipping line you could quite clearly see in the opening shots a small coaster chugging past and belching diesel smoke. Stayed there the entire series.

I enjoy looking for this sort of thing - sad, really, but there you are . . .

in modern "old" films it is easier to get rid of the bloopers now but when i watch the old films i do tend to look for the indifference's i remember watching a film and you could see a jet airplane and vapour trail in the distance and it was a western lol oh and merry xmas to you too

not sure as its a long time since I saw that movie ?love his son Micheal

Volvo had to start somewhere!
