In a scary movie how come the black guy/girl always dies first?

That is not at all true! I actually made a very long list to prove that it isn't so. I'm not sure why this persists because so many films have a black person being the only survivor. You don't hear protests about that! So, maybe you had better watch those films again and see what I mean.

If I can find my list, I will place it here to prove my point. I'll start one to see how many SF/fantasy/horror movies I recall in which the black character either survives or dies after others have though I won't list all of the names:

These movies date from more than 60 years ago to 2007, and I know there are many I've left off the list that others will recall. Who says the black actor gets killed first or doesn't make it to the end of the film?! I might remember more after a few hours of sleep.

Why is that not fair? It's called affirmative action.

I haven't seen this as a rule in any of the movies I've seen. Perhaps you need to watch more horror movies, so that you'll have something to compare the one movie to. Throw out the names of all the movies you're referring to before making a statement like that. You should be able to back up what you say with hard evidence.

It's the whole "token black guy" thing. Sometimes the ditsy blonde dies first.

Not really, in Night of the Living Dead 1968, a black guy is the sole survivor but died in the end at the white man shotgun cause he's black. Human is more scarier than zombie,you just don't know what to expect.

maybe they want to get rid of their character right away because they have other movies to make....they are busy individuals because there are not that many black actors/actresses in hollywood.

l don't agree on this as l have watched films were the white actors die first.
Some people are just too sensitive.
