Jaws. Watching the movie itself didn't do it. It was finding myself in an ocean, then remembering, picturing a 5 foot high dorsal speeding towards me and scrambling to get out. Or in a lake, or a swimming pool...or a bathtub.

I find the movies like Friday the 13th are just cheap thrills by jumping out at you. I think one of the scariest movies is The Grudge. If you have not seen that, it will make Creepshow look like Spongebob Squarepants.

there has not been a movie that actually scared me in 20 years. but when i was a kid, Sleepaway Camp terrified me.

The first, at age 13: Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (the series is amazing, movie's good, but the movie was made after the series, although the movie's a prequel-- definitely watch the series, or just the movie, but both are badass.

I have a very hard time watching scary shows now. Last Halloween I watched "Jeepers Creepers" and I had a hard time.

Arachnophobia as a teenager...couldn't sit down the whole movie!

The Ring now...I was crawling back as the girls walks out of the TV...

The first exorcist , I still will not watch that movie by myself, or rarely at all...
