Title of a Christmas movie?

In the movie the family is shopping (if I remember right) and the dad gets shot. He dies but in the end is brought back to life. Probably viewed in late eighties to mid nineties.

That's One Magic Christmas with Mary Steenburgen. It's a movie from 1985.

Actually, the husband had gone into the bank to get money so that he could buy Christmas presents for the children. Mary Steenburgen, who played his wife, was at work and the kids came in to tell her that their father was at the bank. (She hadn't wanted him to take out any money, because the money in the bank was for emergencies only.) She rushes over to the bank to stop him and is just in time to see him try to stop a robber, who then shoots and kills him. (And, yes, he IS alive at the end.)
