Help me find an actually SCARY movie???

I want something that is actually SCARY.......

No.. not like Nightmare on Elm Street, Excorcist, Jason, The Grudge, Amityville horror, ghost ship... Something that is actually scary, and will creep me out for a long time..

And no stupid gore movies like Hostel and Cannibal Holocuast, sure they are shocking but not scary...

Please.. someone help me find a movie that will scare the Sh!t outta me

hmm.. Good thing I kept my expectations low... The movies listed so far suck

Ju-On 2. The original japanese version of the crappy american "The Grudge". Buy the japanese version. Not the american one.

Wolf Crew scared me...
It seemed pretty realistic, that's what scared me the most...

p2 had me turning my head. alot. ive seen some gross things, but this movie made me uneasy.

but it also had its funny parts

hmmm...probably anythingby stephen king. u could watch the mist, which is either out or coming out....can' think of anything lse, though.SORYY!!!=P

The Blair Witch Project
Wolf Creek
Texas Chainsaw Massacre

ALL TRUE STORIES

other answerers SHH!!!!

Saw 3!!!

I thought 'The Dead zone' was scary, not in a gory slashing way.

I got really scared watching "The Bone Collector"

There's nothing for you then. If the exorcist 20 yrs ago didn't flip you out, your a freak.

EVADING,

Since you're unscareable and will deny everything, I'll simply list a bunch of creepy movies.
The Blind Beast (Japanese)
Premonition (Japanese 2004)
Reincarnation (Japanese 2005)
Dead Mary
Urban Legends: Bloody Mary
The Roost
The Gravedancers
The Bone Snatcher
The Dark (2005)
Headspace
Dagon
Phantasm series~I'll second the vote for "Phantasm". Actually, the whole series is rather bizarre, with interesting images and somewhat necessary gore~more goo than blood. The flying spheres are definitely worth a look.
The Brood~David Cronenberg film
The Haunting (b&w original)~It likely won't scare you, but it's a classy ghost film.
The Mermaid Chronicles 1: The She Creature~There's no sequel unfortunately, but the mermaid is cool~before AND after!
Just Before Dawn~just for the experience
The Believers
The Serpent & the Rainbow
Videodrome
Chronicle of the Raven
Trauma~At least it makes you think.
Alice, Sweet Alice~low-budget film but contains one of the creepiest murders of an utterly helpless victim~~not your usual slash and dash stuff//Poor guy! Otherwise, it's notable only for having Brooke Shields in its cast.
Martin~George Romero film
Vamp~Grace Jones as the lead vampire
Razorblade Smile

"The Exorcist" was not frightening to me because it's only a grossout. Even back then, I thought it wasn't anywhere near as frightening as the novel was and was confused by the response to it. The special effects have not aged well either. I keep checking in on it, and there's not a chill there, just cold pea soup and a spinning head. The horrors are the medical tests she is put through; now, THOSE are scary!

"The Messengers" certainly won't do it! It's a shame, too, because the harbingers were creepy-looking and -moving. It was a dead (pardon the pun) giveaway when the little boy is shown being unafraid of them. They certainly needed a better story. Crows are harbingers, too!

I doubt any of these are what you're looking for. I agree about the "torture porn"-type movies being shocking, not scary. But, it's not likely any suggestions will scare you. Why not enjoy the various styles? The only one on the list that made me edgy is "Premonition"; I actually would have liked to have fast forwarded just to see whether or not the poor man was going to be put out of his misery.

mmm Phantasm, The Eye (original), The People Under the Stairs ehhh there aren't really many genuinely scary movies huh

Southern Comfort.

Salems Lot (1979)
also you might want to watch "Susperia"(1977)

There are none.

i to have the same problem nothing seems to be truly scary. There is one movie however that shook me to the bone it's called " St. Ange " (saint ange ) i only saw it once, that was two years ago on sundance channel or ifc. since then i cant find it anywhere and i have yet to find anyone who has seen it. but if you like really creepy ghost stories that will give you nightmares this is it. Good luck i hope you find it and if anyone else knows of this movie or where to get it please let me know.

the hills have eyes

I would suggest the 90's version of The Mummy. That "Book of the Dead" thing was haunting me while I was in bed that night.
