Who thinks Michael Moore hates America?

Every movie/documentery he has prodused just mocks American life and culture.

I don't believe he hates America. As a matter of fact I believe he is the type of person who shows his love for his country by attempting to make it better by using his art to help illustrate things that could be done better in the U.S. in an attempt to bring light to the issue to cause the Government to do something about them. So he is exersising his right to free speach which is part of what makes this country great.

And if you don't like what his is saying then you have every right to not pay to see his movies.

And I don't necessarily agree with much of anything he says but I will defend his right to say it as an American.

What other country in the world allows the same levels of freedom as the US? There are some but not many. But you have to be able to critically look at yourself before you can understand what changes have to be made to make things even better than what they are now.

Maybe he's holding up a mirror to America, and you don't like what you see.

I'm sorry, my brain functionality is a little more broad than, "Oh, he criticizes America, so he must hate it".

i don't think he hates America since he is an American himself. he is just exposing certain facts and voicing his opinion about the things that are wrong with America like the health care system.

I don't know if hate is what he feels. It may be just a way to get attention and make money. Either way, it shows him for what he really is. And besides that, he looks nasty.

Edit: After reading some of the answers here. I'm amazed at how gullible some people can be.

I just read my lover's book about Michael Moore, it say he tell many lies in movies and books, make things seem worse than really are. Another book is "100 People Screw Up USA", Michael Moore #1 in it, king of USA-bashers. He hate USA for sure, carry freedom of speech too far, it not mean lie and defame people. He's dumb, no logic, just arouse bad emotions in people who cannot think well.

No, he doesn't. You know, there is a difference between patriotism (love for one's country) and nationalism. To point out the inequities of one's government is not hateful in the least - In fact, I'd argue it's the one of the most patriotic things one can do. You can hate his political position - of course - but to say that he "hates" America is simply ludicrous. Should I accuse you of hating America simply because of your political leanings? Of course not!
