What the name of the Christmas movie......? |
I saw it a long time ago when I was a kid. In the movie a husband and wife are poor. She wants some hair combs for her long beautiful hair and he wants a watch chain for his fathers/grandfathers pocket watch. They decide not to get eachother anything because they cant afford it. But he sells his pocket watch to get her the hair combs and she cuts her hair off to get him the chain for his pocket watch. The Gift Of The Magi is a story originally by O. Henry . I don't know what movie they made but you can read the story here. It really is a beautiful story. A young Irish-American and his Italian-American bride face poverty and their first Christmas together, in New York City.'78 tv movie.The Gift Of The Magi" is the title. Check ebay half.com and library. GOOD LUCK! Report It ohh ye I remember that one. It's "Gift of the Magi" based off a story of the same name by O. Henry. That's 'The Gift of the Magi' based on the short story by O.Henry. I know what story you are talking about!!! I just don't remember what it's called. "The gifts of the Maji", I have'nt seen the movie but we just read and analyzed the story in my English class. |

You fail to mention the title of the film. I may have seen it but I wasn't watching TV that evening. I tend not to like Hallmark made-for-TV movies, though. ...Can't think of any right now, but I can't watch the ending of extreme home makeover (or something like that). ...It will just about have to won't it?
