Is anyone else getting tired of all the Computer Graphic movies, especially the kid movies?

Yes, and it an insult to all of the animators when mocrap like Beowulf and Happy Feet get nominated for Best Animated film when they are not animated. Alvin & the Chipmunks was more animated than that and did not qualify, mind you it shouldn't have.

I agree. I thought about this the other night watching Return of the Jedi, comparing it to the newer CGI star wars movies. The CGI charecters are rubbish. They just don't measure up. Chewbacca is cool cause hes a guy in a great suit, same goes for the lil' guys dressed up as ewoks. There are some good cgi movies (like 300), but they are getting tired and lack a certain asthetic.

I don't see that many computer graphic movies or especially the kids movies. Wonder why? Could it be because I don't have any kids? Bingo, the light bulb just went off

I have a nephew that is 3, and the other day he was pretending to take pictures and instead of holding the camera on his eye, he held it like a digital camera, about 7 inches from his face. I found this interesting, then i thought about it, and it is kind of disgusting. This technological world is ruining all the artistic talent. Why be artistic? When the computer can do it for you. I miss when movies actually had an artistic premise.
