Sweeney Todd the movie...?

Ok, for one thing I can't wait! I'm like on the website everyday!!! But one thing I don't get is that on the previews and the website it says that it comes to theatres "This Christmas", yet I checked like four different websites, including yahoo movies, and it said that it comes out the 19th...so when they said "Coming this christmas" did they mean around christmas or on christmas? because I'm trying to see the schedules off the movies but it doesn't show the movie schedule for the 21th. So I don't know yet. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow and I can see it because it shows the 20th's schedule...so does anyone know for sure if it is coming out on the 21st? Or actually ON christmas? Cause if it's coming out on X-mas I can't see it until January cause I'm going to Disney...I leave the 23rd so I'm PRAYING it comes out Friday so I can see it before I go!! Please help!

According to IMDB, it opens on the 21st. Even though it opens around Christmas rather than on Christmas Day itself, they just said "Coming this Christmas" as a marketing angle.

Until you hear a specific date, if they say "Coming this Christmas" just keep in mind the actual opening date for the movie could be anywhere between December 15 and New Year's.

Tim Burton has directed an adaptation of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd (see below) for the big screen. It stars Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd, Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin, Sacha Baron Cohen as Signor Adolfo Pirelli, and Laura Michelle Kelly as the Beggar Woman. It is slated for nationwide U.S. release on December 21, 2007. The nationwide UK release date is due to be 25th January 2008.

Sometimes theaters will list the dates of release for upcoming movies. I would recommend looking up a theater or theaters in your area, and see if than can provide any information. And if you can't find it online, give them a call. Most likely someone there will be able to help you.

it comes out on the 19th i'm pretty sure but it may be the 21st. But i know fo shiz its not coming out christmas day. I'm so excited for it!!!!! I live in London but as im spending the holidays in Canada i get to see it a month before everyone else!!!!! Have fun!

Trust me... it's released on the 21st. Isn't it irritating how deceptive the advertisements have been for this film? They keep blazing "THIS CHRISTMAS" across the screen at the end of all their trailers, but really it's being released nationwide on the 21st.

Don't worry, you'll be able to catch it before you leave for Disney (Land or World?). Have fun seeing it... I've already seen it (advanced screening) and it was AMAZING. You won't be disappointed, I promise.
