On "I am Legend" who's trap was it? |
I just saw the movie last night. I got a little distracted and I was wondering about who set up the trap that Smith's character ended up in? Was it Smiths or the crazy infested creatures? The dark seekers set it up. Remember Frank? Neville could not understand why Frank the dummy was where he was. The lead dark seeker and his cronies set it up. Frank was the clerk maniquin in the cd store. Deville put Maniquins around the city probably at first to provide decoys from dark seekers, but secondly to provide the look of people around the city to not feel so lonely. Report It He talks to them in the store because it is all he has for human social contact. The lead dark seeker probably watched from a dark place and knew that Deville had attacment to the dummies. He used the dummy to lure Deville to the trap. Report It It was Neville's trap. Both the book and original screenplay state that Neville was snared by his own trap. Also, earlier in the movie he stated that the Darkseekers lost all human reasoning; therefore how coudl they construct an elaborate trap? Report It I've seen a lot of people that have said it was Smith's character's own trap, but everyone else I went to see it with and I totally disagree, because the one nightwalker thing (infected creature, whatever you want to call it) watched what Smith did to the other infected one & how he trapped it and they learned from him. They thought that Smith would be drawn to the manikin as the infected were drawn to blood, and so they set a trap for him. They had to wait until dark to come out and get him. Remember when Will Smith caught the girl in his trap and that creature came out into the sun and looked so angry and upset with Will Smith. I think he was upset and hurt that he was losing his close friend or something. |
