The best ever airplane movie ever made--including war movies.?

What's yours?

I like all of the following:

1. Island in the Sky (John Wayne)
2. Tora! Tora! Tora!
3. Battle of Britain
4. Airport
5. Flight of the Phoenix (the one with Jimmy Stewart, please)
6. Wings (1927 silent)
7. I wanted Wings
8. Airport (the original movie, please)
9. The War Lover
10. Memphis Belle (both the original documentary and the rather hokey 1980s fiction film--saved by the beautiful aerial shots of the magnificent B-17.)
And, my all-time favorite, 12 O'Clock High, starring Gregory Peck.
Okay, most of these are war movies, but what the heck. Nice looking airplanes lend a little class to what would otherwise be a disorganized brawl.

What are your favorites? (They don't have to be war movies, and they can involve anything.)

(Surely you can't be serious.)
(I AM serious, and don't call me Shirley...)

If you liked Pearl Harbor do yourself a favor and watch Tora! Tora! Tora!

Well you managed to name every one of the movies I like even my favorite, "12 O'clock High" I have watched that film a bunch of times a year for years. Last time about two weeks ago.
Other people have also added some really good ones. I have been sitting here racking my brain trying to think of some others to justify my answering.
Here a few that were pretty good.
"Wing and a Prayer"
"The Blue Max"
"The High and the Mighty"
"The Bridges at Toko-Ri"
"Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" Saw this one the first time when it released in the70mm version.
"The Wings of Eagles"
"Flight of the Intruder"
Another favorite of mine. The TV series "Victory at Sea" has some episodes with great aircraft action, especially the pacific war.
There a couple that were were not about an airplane but a plane played a big part in the movie.
"Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"
"Fail-Safe"
All I can think of now.

There's someone on the wing....some..thing! JK. Top Gun obvi!

Airplane!

the aviator

Pearl Harbor

Theres also Midway.

United 93

Red Eye
Air Force One

1. Tora! Tora! Tora!

I don't watch many but I really like Executive Decision. Probably not the most realistic movie but very suspenseful to see the team working in such tight quarters and constantly trying to stay out of sight
Of course Airplane is my favorite (little white girl: I like my coffee black, like my men)

My favorites are Airplane, Top Gun and The Spirit of St. Louis with Jimmy Stewart.

The Flying Leathernecks, a John Wayne goodie

Passenger 57
Flight 93

I like the ones you name, plus the Flying Tigers and 30 seconds over Tokio.
