There was this movie on disney channel that was about some skater guy any ideas what movie it is?

um.. yeah, I think you need to be a BIT more specific..

Airborne: Surfer goes to stay with relatives in Ohio where he starts playing street hockey and rollerblading.

Gleaming the Cube: Christian Slater is teenager who's life is skateboarding.. who enlists the aide of other skateboarders after his brother is killed.

Rad: Don't know much about it.. but it looks like it's about urban rollerblading competitions..

Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board: Looks like the go through Snow Boarding, Mountain Boarding, and skating.. (and this one is a recently released disney movie..so seems the most likely.)

I've heard of a film titled "Brink!" (1998)

Summary:
Andy "Brink" Brinker (Erik von Detten) and his friends, who call themselves "Soul-Skaters" (meaning they skate for the fun of it, and not the money), clash with a group of sponsored skaters - Team X-Bladz. When Brink discovers his family is in financial trouble, he decides to go over to the dark side of skating and joins Team X-Bladz. Only after realizing that this transformation was a poor decision, he forgoes his financial problems and makes do by getting a job at a local dog grooming shop, "Pup 'N Suds". With an advance on his salary, he sponsors his Soul-Skating friends to compete in a decisive competition against other skaters and among them; his old team, Team X-Bladz.
