Hey,Why Marlon Brando refused to accept the award and sent actress Sacheen Littlefeather in his stead ? Marlon Brando sent the girl to announce that he's not accepting the award because Native Americans weren't treated fairly. Brando has some Native American heritage... because he did not like the way the indian people had been treated and this was his way of protesting it to the world Brando always was left field. I think he did it for the hell of it and to say 'blow me' to the Academy (as opposed to caring for the Native Americans). |
