Why do zombies in movies gain strength?

Like in movies such as "I am Legend" and "Resident Evil". They seem to always have super human strength.

In most of the older movies they only have basic motor function and limited strength their power is in numbers. These newer movies have changed this dynamic to make them more interesting because these stories have been told over and over again. As far as "I am Legend" goes, from what I understand their supposed to be more like vampire without calling them so.

in i am legend...the book anyway..they are vampires..not zombies....and i dunno y they have superhuman strength...it would certainly suck if that were really to happen haha

because who can't beat up your average everyday shambling bag of bones

Brain tissue contains a lot of protein, I guess. Making the zombies more powerful makes the movies scarier.

Because they have nuecluiociuos omnipotient valor blood that produces carbon substances that regeberate their vein poer v2.

Because if they were weak then nobody would be afraid of them and you wouldn't have a movie.

the same reason heroes can fight off 30 attackers and come out unscathed, its a fuckin movie

They were not reanimated corpses in I am Legend they were vampire like creatures because of the mutation. I didn't think they had superstrength in Resident Evil but in Dawn of the Dead(2004 version) they did. I guess it is to make the movie more frightening lol.

If you could fight a zombie no stronger than the avearage human he wouldn't really be a threat would he?

If we were looking at it scientifically I would say the pituitary gland keeps pumping Adrenalin after death and without normal brain functions to keep it all in check .The chemical only affects the muscles and base functions such as hunger.


and therefore they have a driven hunger that they will stop at nothing to fulfill.

Because they never tire.
They will always be able to push themselves 100%, like a huge adreneline rush that never end.s
