Hobbit director?

now that peter jackson is going to be executive producer on the project, who might make a good director for the hobbit films?

OMG! Not Sam Raimi. That guy is a horrible director. It would be a travesty to entrust something like Tolkien's work to that knucklehead.

They say Sam Raimi (the Spiderman movies) wants to direct it, but there isn't any set director for the movie yet.

I say it's a No No. I'm kind of mad that Jackson doesn't want to direct. Let's pray that no other director messes up this movie's reputation.
Because there are 2 films (which will be filmed back to back like the LOTR Trilogy) it's going to be hard for Raimi to catch up with Jackson. Jackson has the experience and has the brain. Raimi is going to have a hard time shooting this film and the outcome might be a big dissappointment to everyone.

Sam Raimi is wanting to direct the films. I say give it to him. He's proved himself time and time again and you want someone to do it who has passion to make a film.

I get the sinking feeling that these won't live up to the quality of The lord of the Rings movies.

Sam Ramni has been listed as top contender.

i could see a good project done between the two.

they're making The Hobbit into a movie? cool
