Black and white movie with alcoholic father who dies in the snow on Christmas? |
pLEASE HELP WITH THE TITLE- A FATHER IS AN UNEMPLOYED ALCOHOLIC. hIS WIFE IS ALWAYS PUTTING HIM DOWN IN FRONT OF THEIR DAUGHTER. oN cHRISTMAS EVE, THE DAD GOES OUT IN THE SNOW TO FIND A JOB, BUT HE NEVER COMES HOME.APPARENTLY HE DIED. THIS WAS IN BLACK AND WHITE. It was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. An absolutely wonderful film! Jingle All The Way I dont know but it sounds sad "It's a Wonderful Life" i believe Hubba Bubba I think you are talking about "its a wonderful life" but that is not exactly the story line.... it's the story of my life, now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go out and find a job. thats no movie thats my cristmas every year Sounds so sad.Is that the end? You are a CHEERFUL little soul aren't you? it might be a 1940's early 50's film. There is a movie that sounds similar to what you describe except its not black and white, both the father and the son are alcoholics, the son Nick Nolte, eventually kills the father and sets his body on fire in the barn, the girlfriend is Sissy Spacek, I am sure Nick Nolte won an award for his performance the movie is called "Affliction". |

It appears to not have been rated. ...This was one of my favourite christopher lee/peter cushing movies. It would be interesting to see how it would be updated ....possibly with it being set on a spaceship ? ...That is Ghostbusters!!! ...it was scheduled to be released to day.. but they they've changed the release date to another one not told yet ...Nicholson for sure. I'm excited to see what Heath Ledger does though, the trailer looks amazing, I'm sure he will be incredible. I grew up on the Nicholson Joker though, so he will alwa... To me, unless the movie has a rocking soundtrack (The standard sound setup is 12000 watts), I don't get anything extra out of seeing an IMAX DMR presentation unless I know its going to have go... |
