Who is better? Aslan the Lion? or Lorek the Polar Bear? Explain.?

both, because they are the same archetype. because of this it is hard to choose between two lovable characters

Iorek is animated better. I'm constantly amazed at the improvements they make in CGI close-ups. The part where he's running with Lyra on his back isn't great, but in the closeups and the fight sequences, the quality was excellent. It'll be interesting to see if the next Narnia film makes improvements in their rendering of Aslan.

As for the characters, it's very difficult to compare. Iorek is a character in a book with far more complexity than the Narnia series, so he gets to have aspects to his personality that don't exist in the Narnia universe. On the other hand, Aslan is an archetypal character, so this makes gives him an element that Iorek as an individual doesn't have.

Having said all that, I just like the "His Dark Materials" books better, so the simplest answer is: Iorek is better because he's in a better book.

I have not yet to see the Golden Compass. But I would choose Aslan. Because it is a Christian film, and Aslan plays Jesus, basically.
