Question about halloween remake?

my mom was talking about getting it on dvd so i decided i will get it for her instead but before i do there is something i must know:

i know rob zombie directed it so my question is, is it anything like his other two movies (house of 1000 corpses, the devil's rejects)?

to my mom those movies seemed pointless with the constant swearing and weirdness and sexual stuff, she was disgusted. so aside from the fact that it is a remake ( i know many arent happy about that) how is it? would it me okay to get for my mom a true horror fan, but still very much my mother (i dont want to get slapped upside the head for getting her a movie that disgusts her.

also is it made in the fashion of the original halloween movie or is it a completely different vision?

There first part of the movie is FILLED with the F word and it's has a lot of nudity. If you want an accurate answer to your question go to www.pluggedinonline.com it tells you exactly how many cuss words are in movies and what kinda sexual stuff there is. I would strongly suggest you go there.

NO the movie is very sexual and it sucked I don't think that it would be a good gift for your mom. If your mom didn't like his other movies I don't think that she would like this one. and it is completely different than the original Halloween Rob Zombie changed almost everything.

its better than the others
theres alot of sexual stuff and nudity
the story is better though and more interesting
if she loves horror movies then she'll like
this because it makes you jump alot
this movie answers alot of unanswered questions
but the ending is sort of a to be continued

The "Halloween" remake is a good movie. It is filmed somewhat in the fashion of Rob Zombie's other films. There is some gratuitous nudity in it, but most horror films have this. And there is a good deal of swearing in it. The film is a remake but it is also a prequel. The first half of the film focuses on Michael Myers as a kid and how he became who he was as an adult. But the 2nd half of the movie pretty much follows the original with a few differences. The movie is a lot more bloody than the original also. I think it is a must see for any horror fan, mom or not!

I didn't see it. But my fave Halloween movie is the one w/ that jingle:

"3 more days to Halloween...Halloween, Halloween
3 more days to Halloween, Silver Shamrock"

It was the one where the halloween mask get stuck to the faces.
