Okay sweeney todd?

who wants to see johanny depp's sexxy self slice up some surly rapest? i know i do! lol but serously who is going to see it friday? and do you think it will be as good as on broadway? If not why?

jayjay i'm having someone else buy my ticket lol i am not old enough to get inyo rated R by myself

Personally I was more interested in checking out his singing abilities (they are INCREDIBLE, and even more so considering he's never been through any vocal training... EVER). I confess, I was also eager to see how much gore Burton was going to pack into the film (for all the blood-n-guts fans out there, you won't be disappointed!).

The question of "will it be as good as broadway" is actually kind of impossible to answer since the film adaptation is taking Sweeney in an entirely new direction. It's going to be much darker, much gloomier, and they were able to film fantasy sequences (like "By the Sea" and "Epiphany") in the way they're imagined which they couldn't do on stage. The songs aren't "broadway style" either, so don't expect that kind of singing.

Both the Broadway show and the movie are brilliant, but to be perfectly honest, I like the movie better (sorry, Angela Lansbury!).

yes, i def. want to go see that. i think it'll be as good as the broadway, if not better because you can do more effects on the silver screen than on stage.

I'm not sure if it will be as good as on broadway...maybe it will be as good in it's own way but the original shows are usually best...I've been waiting for this to be remade into a movie since I've always wanted to see the play but never had the chance!! It's rated R, though, so make sure you spot tickets for any high schoolers you see wandering around...I wouldn't want to deprive them of johnny either, since it's not their fault if they get carded lol

duh~. i mean it's JOHNNY DEPP for crying out loud. he's a must-watch for me. on broadway? maybe... not too sure though... can't really comment on that sorry

i want to see it.... but im only 14 so i would need some1 to go with me..... hopefully my dad will.......

I am dying to see it, but I have to wait until Christmas. I'm not old enough to get into a R rated movie, so my mom has to take me (not looking forward to her going with me...). But yes, I cannot wait to see it.

As for the Broadway thing, I'm not sure. I did not get a chance to catch it on Broadway when it was in my state, but I think the movie will be great either way. Johnny and Tim are the dynamic duo!
