Was Dr. Srangelove filmed in Black & White or color?

Was Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) filmed in color?

I just watched the movie and it was in black and white and I got confused because on IMDB's trivia page, Stanley Kubrick wanted the war room table to be green. If it's black and white, what much difference does that make?

It is shot in black and white, but it the table is green, it contrasts differently than, say, a black table

b&w...you may see such trivia items during the b&w age... actors and directors still thought and worked with color in mind, eventhough the end product was bw.

It could have impacted the way the scene worked in bw...if you shoot something blue in bw, it will look different than something red or indeed green.

I don't know about the table being green, but I do know depending on color things show up differently in black and white.

Blood, for example, is usually chocolate syrup when shot in black and white.

It was filmed in black and white. I have watched it a number of times and never see any color in it.
My favorite line from the film is "You can't fight here, this is the war room".
