Why was the lion king a kids movie?

I totally agree! That part was awful and WAY too heavy for children to watch. But, Disney really does kill off alot of parents. Bambi's Momma (that was sad!), Todd's mother in the Fox and Hound.... I'm sure there are more. But the Lion King was definately the most intense parent death scene. I think it was a little inappropriate! So yes I agree with you. Children these days don't have the respect anymore. Is it because of Disney movies? Probably not... But these are the movies they watch while they grow up and learn their morals..... Good question!

Kids don't laugh at someone who's hurt. It was a movie. People let their children watch worse things than cartoons all the time.

Disney has been killing off parents since the beginning of time. Bambi's mom. The Fox's mom. Simba's Dad.

Did it ever occur to you that the lion king isn't just a cartoon and might have deeper meaning for a moment remember the scene and the order when the hyenas were marching in scar's orders now remember how many children Hitler separated from their parents , how many fathers got killed because Adolf Hitler wanted to rule. Do you think he could relate to Scar ?
