I don't know much about this, i still have the basic set up of amp + guitar, and I want to expand my range of sounds/enhance it. I have an Ibanez Rg350DX and a Behringer 25 watt which has the basic functions but no special effects. So i'd like to get a pedal/multieffects processor but what does/can it do? This probably sounds stupid, but i'm guess it does: multiple effects plus changing them around with the pedal step. Am i right? someone plz help =P
The one i was thinking about getting was the Zoom G1 Guitar Multi-effects pedal. price is nice and ive heard a lot of good reviews about it. can i get some good feedback plz! im sliding from novice guitar playing into intermediate =) someone fill me in on this pedal stuff. thx You pretty much have the idea. Pedals can do a range effects, they have pedals that only do one effect, which is ultimately the way to go, as you will get the best results. What you are looking at would be a good step up to the next level. I would look at something with more pedals though (the one you are talking about has two buttons, i would recommend one with four.) They also have processors that connect to a function pedal which can open up more possibilities. If you are looking to take the next step you may want to think about a new amp. These days they have amps with numerous preset functions that you can then attach a secondary pedal to to control assigned presets. A larger amp will also sound a lot better. I just got a Line 6, Spider 3, 120W, its awesome! (maybe a bit out of your range but a worth while investment, this particular amp allows for a secondary pedal input, they also have smaller amps that do the same) I would visit a local music store, they are pretty helpful in finding something that will work for you. Hope this helps. |
