How Many Strings On A Piano?

How Many Strings On A Piano?

It depends on the piano. Most modern pianos have 88 keys, but each key usually strikes multiple strings. The number of strings per key is also not consistent; within one piano, for example, the higher notes may strike two or three strings each, whereas the low notes probably only strike one. Typically all together they add up to over 200, but can vary with brand and model.

I don't know about strings but I think that pianos have keys. Or you could tie up your piano with strings; maybe you mean how many chords?
Give me Brahms and Liszt any evening or possibly Souza.

Lots of lots of 'em!
More than I can ever count.

is this a trick question? i didnt even know pianos had strings- just keys...
