Song about a girl that died.?

I'm not sure who sings it, I know it is by a man, it's about a girl who was killed, I believe she was hit by a car but dont quote me on that, this song was in memory of her. The singer was famous and knew her and her family. please help.

I checked all of the songs that the 5 answers' gave. It's none of those songs, I know in this song he says the date and time that it happened. I think it was in august, but I'm not sure, I just cant remember the lyrics it's been a long time since i've heard it but it's such a beautiful song.

There is a song called "Last Kiss" by Pearl Jam about a girl that dies in a car accident. Is that the one you're talking about?

Was it "Where Can My Baby Be" I'm not sure if that's the title though.
