What songs to play for this dance?

This weekend I have to gather music and play it for this party ran by my Mom and her friends...there bringing some music but I also have to get some too..I want music you can dance too, but the majority of the people here are going to be near the age of 50 so I don't want like rap, but older club type music...I want it to be popular so most everyone knows it...so far I've got things such as:

John Scarbury - Believe It or Not
DJ Sammy - California Dreamin
Guns n' Roses - Sweet Child of Mine
Couple Beatles songs..
Also got Outkast - Hey Ya, so songs can be newer too....I just don't want songs like 2 step, soulja boy, etc, that everyone keeps saying, remember that they have to be fairly popular...

Thanks!

Look into Led Zepplin, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, Fleetwood Mac, and all that Me Generation stuff, more towards the late 70's/early 80's.

You could go with 50's and 60's music. Stuff like Bill HAiley and the Comets, roy orbison, chubby checker, chuck berry, etc. They are always a good choice for a dance.

rock and roll soniye, jhoom barabar, aakhon mein teri, om shanti om (all these are bollywood songs)
